Peeper 5K Road Race for Scholarships
Our Programs
Join the Greater Barrington Community Foundation, along with the Chamber of Commerce and dozens of other organizations, businesses and community leaders, for the Annual Peeper 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
Race start time is 9:00 am. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to join this family friendly event! Stay after for awards/prizes and enjoy all of the activities & attractions of Family Fun Day until 3 pm.
REGISTRATION INFO: Early Bird Registration - Discounted rates till March 31st!Day-of Race – registration will open at 8:00 am.
Don’t forget to pre-order your race t-shirt for only $20 until April 6th on our race registration page. A limited number of shirts may be available for purchase on race day.
RACE MAP & LOCATION: Barrington Elementary School, 570 Calef Highway, Barrington, NH 03825MAP COMING SOON
Begin our USATF certified course (# NH ) at Barrington Elementary School. Course follows Mallego Road, takes a right hand turn onto Stone Farm Drive, reconnects with and continues to follow Mallego road south east to the turn-around. Race completes by following Mallego back to the Elementary School and the finish line.Course is paved with a modest hill.
BIB PICK UP: Pre-registered runners and walkers can pick-up bibs in the Barrington Elementary School Gym the morning of the race, Saturday, May 3rd, beginning at 7:30 AM.Strollers are welcome with the understanding they will start behind all other runners and are pushed in a safe and prudent manner.Sorry, due to sanctioned-race guidelines we can’t permit dogs to participate or attend the space until after the race part of the day is concluded (usually by 11 AM)
PARKING:
- Plenty of free parking will be available at Barrington Middle School and adjacent commercial parking lots nearby
Police officers and volunteers will be directing traffic and parking, and Mallego Road will be closed to public traffic for the Walk/Run event.
- If you can carpool, please do – for parking reasons, but also for the environment!

All proceeds from supportive sponsors, donations and race fees will go to the GBCF.
A minimum of $4000 in Educational Scholarships will be distributed by the Community Foundation to local students in our community that are pursuing higher education!
Remaining funds will cover the expenses of operating the Event, and any surplus will rest in the Community Foundation’s General Fund until it can be used for another local charitable purpose consistent with our Mission.

THE PEEPER 5K LEGACY
In 2024 the Greater Barrington Community Foundation’s (GBCF) creation was sponsored and supported by the Greater Barrington Chamber of Commerce, and in 2025, GBCF was given the opportunity to adopt the Peeper 5K Walk/Run, which was created nearly 3 decades earlier as a fundraiser to award academic scholarships to the community’s students persueing higher education.
